"Valve’s Steam Users’ Forums were apparently hacked last night, and defaced with links and advertisements for a hacking site called fkn0wned.com. Today, the forums are “offline for maintenance.”
According to the postings on the Steam Forums, fkn0wned offers “hacking tutorials and tools, porn, free giveaways and much more.”
The twist here is that fkn0wned may have been fknFramed. The people behind the site have shut down their own forums, posting a message that says, “Fkn0wned Forum is currently unavailable In lights of someone crediting us for the recent breaches of steam forums, the board is offline. Fkn0wned is not responsible.”
It’s not clear yet whether they’re telling the truth, and Kotaku says some Steam Forums users have reported getting email spam from fkn0wned after the hack.
Valve hasn’t yet commented on the situation."
